  Gift certificate in hand we headed for this place last night.  Nervous though given some of the bad reviews here which I now consider bogus.  The meal was great (veal and peppers, shrimp cocktail), the service was great (Nick the waiter), and  the ambience just right.  Give it a try-- I sincerely doubt you'll be disappointed.

  This was not the Italian lunch I was looking for.
  
  Look, I didn't grow up around Italian-American red sauce restaurants, but I do have an appreciation for the form. That said, maybe I ordered wrong? I must have, because there are people who I know and trust, who have nothing but great things to say about this place.
  
  I truly wish I had a positive experience to report. However, I hope this constructive criticism might steer others away from the dishes I found lackluster, in the hopes they might have a more enjoyable experience.
  
  When dining out with my daughter, I often order things that I suspect she will like. That way, the two of us can share and try even more food. She's my semi-adventurous eater. However, she still a kid, and enjoys meat centric classics.
  
  That is how I found myself ordering the hot Italian sausage sandwich. She got a kids order of the spaghetti with meatballs.
  
  The kindest word to describe both the meatball and the sausage would be "delicate" or maybe "tender". Unfortunately, I look for more aggressively seasoned and flavor forward versions of these meats.
  
  It was my daughter who reached for the salt shaker first. While the shaker was full, it was clumped, and we had to unscrew the top in order to get it to work. This held true for the pepper and cheese as well.
  
  After a little doctoring of the dish, she was able to eat her fill. But she left most of the meatball, and she loves meatballs.
  
  There was some confusion when presented with the check. I had asked for a kids portion of spaghetti and meatballs, but it was put on the bill at full price. However, the waiter insisted that this modest bowl with one meatball is both the normal lunch portion AND the children's dinner portion.
  
  It's interesting to note that the lunch portion of spaghetti and meatballs comes with just one meatball, but the meatball sandwich comes with three meatballs for about the same price. I know this because one was delivered to me in error, quickly whisked away, and replaced with my sausage sandwich.
  
  So if you do like a meltingly tender and delicately seasoned meatball, I'd recommend going for the sandwich. Just know that the sandwich is simply meat on top of sliced Italian bread and some red sauce.
  
  It would be nice if the bread were a little bit more sturdy to hold up to the sauce, because that became very very soft as well.
  
  For ten dollars, it's a lot of food. However, I would prefer less food on the plate for the same price, but with more assertive flavors and better ingredients.  
  
  This was an unfortunate lunch. Next time I'll have to come with someone who can help me navigate the menu to find the winners.

  Dined here Saturday night. I have to agree with a previous reviewer, the food here is good but you pay more than what you get. I ordered the Pesce alla Pescatore. It came with a filet of white fish along with 3 sea scallops and 3 shrimp for $23.95. For that price they could throw in a few more shrimp and scallops. I understand the overhead costs for running a restaurant, but large shrimp do not cost that much where you could throw some extra on the plate. Once again the food is good and so is the service even though the waiter we had was a little surly. I will be back to try other dishes.

  I've been here twice and ordered the veal and peppers both times. Absolutely fantastic! You get a large plate piled high with fork tender chunks of veal. They don't fill the plate out with a ton of peppers like other places do, if anything they could add a few more peppers. A small house salad and warm, crusty Italian bread are included with the meal. You also get a side of pasta or potatoes. I choose the capellini, which is good but could use more than a dollop of sauce on top (not a problem because I dump the pasta on the veal plate and mix it up. Very nice red sauce). I think the prices are average, not as high as some other reviewers cited. Service is fast and friendly. It's becoming one of my favorite places.

  Very rarely do I go out for Italian food, since Im all Italian but we were shopping near by and heard the Italian music playing and decided it give it a try .
  They had a 4 course fixed menus special for 21.95.  I got the eggplant parmigiana.  It came with a appetizer, salad, dinner, and desert.  Really couldn't complain.  For that price it was good.  Good service too.  Waitress was friendly, and offered suggestions.  The only complaint would be after eating such a big meal, I had no room for desert.  I asked if I could get it to go.  She said no.  Really.  What's the big deal.  A small to go container would go a long way.  They charged extra for the linguine, but no to desert to go.  Things like this bug me!
